  Portrait #1 of Mark + Stephan was done at their old house in Surrey Hills. When they moved they decided that they were no longer attached to the place and wanted to be portrayed in an architectural space of their choice. They chose an unusal setting — a Shaker linen room built in an attic. It featured in a book on Minimalist Architecture that Mark was particularly interested in.
